Valentine Hearts Edition❤️
February 2026 the Grand Turk location held another Learn to Paint session. Our young artists had an absolute blast creating their very own Valentine hearts. The best part was watching each child take the idea and make it completely their own—bold colors, soft pastels, patterns, splatters, glittery touches, and wonderfully imaginative designs. Some of the children turned their hearts into creative designs such as an alien, ice cream cone and nature scenes within the hearts.
There’s something magical about giving kids the freedom to explore, experiment, and express themselves. Their creativity filled the room, and every heart they painted was as unique as they are.
A joyful, love-filled afternoon of art and imagination. ❤️✨

Museum’s Children’s Club: 🌲🎨 Painting a Caribbean Pine Christmas Tree 🎄✨
In December the Children’s Club gathered for a joyful “Learn to Paint” session, where creativity and holiday spirit came together beautifully.
- 🖌️ Guided by instructor Aysha, the children explored painting techniques while learning about the Caribbean Pine.
- 🎄 With festive imagination, they transformed the pine into a Christmas tree, complete with colorful decorations and bright holiday cheer.
- 🌟 The activity celebrated both local heritage and the magic of the season, giving the children a chance to express themselves while connecting with nature.
The Museum is proud to support these creative experiences that nurture young talent and highlight the beauty of our Caribbean environment.
Together, the children proved that art is not just about painting—it’s about storytelling, culture, and joy. 💫
The Club is paid for by sales of Where is Simon, Sandy and Satchi and Little Star books.

Painting Salt’s Tail – A Splash of Inspiration during a special museum painting class, children dove into the story of Salt, a beloved humpback whale known for her distinctive tail and decades of ocean journeys. Guided by Local Artist Aysha, the children’s imagination and marine science, each child painted their own version of Salt’s iconic fluke—celebrating her legacy as one of the most famously tracked whales in the Atlantic. The activity blended art and education, connecting young artists to the wonders of the sea and the importance of conservation.
The Children’s Club is sponsored by sales of the Where Is Simon, Sandy? And Satchi and Little Star books written by Donna Seim.

Mosaic Class
A vibrant mosaic created by the imaginative hands of our youngest artists now graces the museum wall. The mosaic depicts an underwater scene with all of the Sealife creatures created by children from the Museum Children’s Club. This joyful artwork celebrates the spirit of Turk & Caicos through playful colors and heartfelt designs, transforming the wall into a lasting tribute to youthful expression and our beautiful by nature ocean that surrounds us.
Special Thanks to Lisa Wandres and the volunteers that assisted with the Children’s Club and the mosaic.
