HJ Robinson school team, second place winners of the 2017 Turks and Caicos National Museum’s History and Cultural Heritage quiz, won a historical tour as part of their prize. They took that prize trip to Providenciales on Friday June 23, 2017. The team Noel Benjamin, Michael Archibold and Amanda Ingham were accompanied by parent Mrs. Mandy Archibold. They were hosted by museum volunteer Ms. Emily Malcolm and museum representative Mrs. Candianne Williams.
The group toured the Caicos Heritage Homestead exhibit, Cheshire Hall Plantation and Little Water Cay the Iguana Island. They also explored the maritime heritage with traditional boat builder Pastor Gold Williams, and got a tour of the traditional Caicos sloop that he is building.
We would like to say a special thank you to sponsors TCI Reef Fund and InterCaribbean Airways. Thank you also to Caribbean Cruisin, and Turks and Caicos National Trust, Pastor Gold Williams and Ms. Emily Malcom for contributing to making this day a wonderfully memorable one.
